So, 2020, the year of disappointment and uncertainty is over and now we’re kicking off 2021 in yet another national lockdown. Who knows what this year is going to have in store for us… everyone is hoping and praying that sooner rather than later we will start to head back to some kind of normality, but in the meantime this pandemic is still restricting us.
Although many things are off the table like socialising, dining out and travelling, we must not lose hope but more importantly not forget about all of the good things we take for granted. Needing a little motivation to help get you through what is already a terrible month? You just need your imagination and a little inspiration…
Well, we here at the Mountain Restaurant have had a lot of great and supportive feedback for our takeaway service and therefore, even though the pandemic and the lockdown continue, we invite you to come and pay us a visit and allow us to help put a smile back on your face as that is something we all need right now! Bored and stuck for something to do? Grab your bike or your walking boots and head out for a bit of fresh air and your daily dose of exercise but not without making a pit stop at The Garden Centre for a delightful refreshment!
We have all kinds of coffee, teas and of course hot chocolate (with an added drop of Bailey’s if you’re feeling cheeky). And of course you will have worked up an appetite so take the opportunity of grabbing a warm snack from our limited menu ranging from toasties and hotdogs to cheesy fries and gorgeous juicy burgers… who needs McDonalds when you can come to us for great quality at a reasonable price! Up and out early? No excuse to skip breakfast when we can offer you a bacon or sausage bap to delve into!
What better way to brighten up your day than to get yourself a delicious treat…
Our large variety of huge cakes are still available as well as our huge famous scones because we don’t want you to miss out! Even though you can’t enjoy them in the warm, cosy atmosphere of our alpine restaurant, instead you can enjoy them in the comfort of your home while making the family jealous!
We have also invested in a crepe machine so why not try something different and go for a sweet, fancy pancake covered in your favourite toppings like syrup, Nutella, marshmallows (or pretty much anything we have if you ask nicely)!
Although we are not able to offer our full services we are extremely grateful for all of the support we have been given by you throughout this terrible time. As long as the demand stays strong, we will remain open for takeaways Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 10:00-16:00 and hope you will find the time in your (not so busy) schedule to pay us a visit where we will thank you with a grand smile and a friendly (socially distanced) chat. Don’t forget to bring your 4 legged companions with you to get their tails wagging, I mean what pup can refuse a quality sausage? Also feel free to grab some photos and tag us on Facebook and Instagram to help spread the word!
We thank you for your continued support and hope to welcome you back into the restaurant for a true alpine dining atmosphere as soon as the world opens back up. Until then, don’t deprive yourselves of a well earned takeaway treat!
